The Athens of the South
2023
This original acrylic painting is the second in a series of harbor paintings. It captures a section of the harbor in New Bern, North Carolina and includes several New Bern landmarks. It is a meticulously-created, original, one-of-a-kind, acrylic painting on a 18″ x 24″ x 3/4″ gallery-wrapped canvas. The edges are painted and finished, so it can be displayed without a frame. These paintings are not mass produced in various sizes – each is a unique work of art.
I use professional-grade paints and pouring mediums. My technique includes pouring, palette knife and brushwork with visible brushstrokes and texture.
The art is varnished with a satin finish. Hanger will be provided.
